Fresh Blood – Marmozets Will Smash Up 2013

The Marmozets sound like a cross between Halestorm and Bring Me The Horizon and they’re British blood! This under twenties five piece consists of brother and sister trio, Sam Macintyre (guitar), Josh Macintyre (drums), Becca Macintyre (vocals) and brother duo Jack Bottomly (guitar) and Will Bottomley(bass/vocals).

Lead vocalist, Becca bouts out pitch perfect harmony as well as lung exploding roars. A combination of what I’d describe as Gothic hardcore guitar riffs, a raspy twang singing sound and tonsil tantalising screams works a treat for the Marmozets. After their great success on the Vans, Off The Wall Tour 2012 this band are definitely ones to watch this year.

This five strong band from up North have hit the rock scene with a smash! On first listening, I was left wanting more. Although it’s difficult to pin point a genre with these guys (because they’re way too kick ass) the five-some describe themselves as ‘Rawkous alternative math energy’ – which they are more than worthy of.

Their song, Good Days is one of my favourites and the music video is simple but very effective. The band are so hardcore, they even scare menacing black vines into hiding! Check out their website for what’s coming next and to get a free download of their song, Time For Answers.
