Tomorrow evening London will face a zombie apocalypse.
Not literally…Well at least I hope not anyway!
No, I mean this in a purely cinematic sense because the walking-dead thriller ‘World War Z’ starring Brad Pitt is having its world premier in the Capital.
Leicester Square will be lit up by the flickering of camera bulbs and crammed full with frenzied fans hoping to catch a glimpse of the A-listers before they enter the cinema to watch the film on the big screen for the first time.
Muse, one of Britain’s top rock bands, have had songs from their latest album ‘The 2nd Law’ featured in the soundtrack for this epically tipped blockbuster. To celebrate this they will be performing a 30-minute set to a crowd of 15,000 fans at Horse Guards Parade, St James’s Park after the film has been shown.
Now, if you ask any of my friends they will tell you that if there is one thing I love, it is Muse and if there is one thing I hate, it is zombies!
So when I told them that I had managed to get tickets to this one-off Muse gig but that it would mean I have to watch a zombie film they were genuinely intrigued as to whether my love for Matt, Dom and Chris could triumph over my crippling fear of the undead or whether I’d have to miss the gig and hide behind my sofa all night.
I’ll be honest with you. I am not yet sure myself what is going to happen…you’ll have to stay tuned to The Alt Entertainer website and Twitter feed to see if I brave it or not!
