75,000 people filled the Liverpool streets to celebrate ‘Liverpool Pride’ this August. The festival was a far cry from 50 years ago when being gay was shunned and hidden by society.
It’s 2013 and the LGBT communities are proud of who they are, and so they should be!
Many people dressed in full costume to celebrate the theme this year ‘Superheroes’. Everywhere you looked you saw a batman, a robin, a cat woman or some other superhero smiling and having fun.
Although with a fair ground, stalls of food, great music and an awesome atmosphere what wasn’t to smile about, this was Liverpool’s biggest and best pride festival yet.
It’s going to be a tall order trying to outdo this next year!
