Last week we were at CANOE INC‘s press event at The Vinyl Factory in Soho to find out about the hottest Autumn and Winter collections from a number of brands. We were introduced to some really awesome new brands too, which we really think are worth checking out. Here’s the hottest gossip from the event…
We’re very excited about this one but Van’s will be releasing a series of Disney designs. Including Beauty and the Beast and Donald Duck. Unfortunately we cannot show you photos as these have not yet been launched but check out the Vans website for the latest updates. They also have the new MTE Collection, ideal for those who like to hike and look trendy at the same time.
Oakley had a selection of sunnies and snap back baseball caps. We especially loved their Uranium Collection, the Prizm Road Jawbreaker design in a Sulphur colour (bright yellow). World class athletes use these, and they are perfect for cycling. Their slender design allows good airflow and they look pretty hot too.
The X Metal glasses look like something straight out of X Men. Of course they look good and they work well, but with their high price tag and with only a small number available, these glasses really are suited to a niche market.
There were also a nifty range of sunnies for every day use. These come in a range of different coloured frames and lenses.
Oakley are also launching a new global competition that gives people with a passion for action sports a chance to get to know their heroes.
As part of their One Obsession campaign, launched earlier this year, they are encouraging people to share their obsessions using the hashtag #LiveYours.
Then there was a selection of beanies to keep your head warm this Autumn/Winter season. The ideal head wear for the snow board and ski season too!
Offering something to blow your head off, well nearly were Blockhead. A chewing gum with Caffeine in offered a rather fine pick me up for the afternoon of fashion alongside a rather fresh breath.
This skate brand were showcasing some of their more unique clothing. Including a range for independent artists. One of our favourite sets of designs was from artist Sketchy Tank.
Premium sports lifestyle brand ’47 teamed up with The Black Fives to create a unique new apparel collection that commemorates pioneering African American basketball teams of the Black Fives Era. It’s the first retail sports apparel collection ever produced under license through a public charity.
